New App To Suggest Stopovers to Fukuoka’s Commuters

Hitachi, Ltd., and Nishitetsu will jointly run a trial for a new smartphone application to check bus and train congestion. Once users input their route, the system indicates how crowded the buses or trains would be and suggests nearby shops and eateries. The program seeks over 1,000 participants from Nishitetsu’s LINE friends and more. The trial begins in Feb. Source: Nikkei / Hitachi
