New Coronavirus Cases Soar in Fukuoka

On August 4, Fukuoka Prefecture reported 752 new cases of the new coronavirus infection. The largest daily count included 474 cases found in Fukuoka City, 76 in Kitakyushu City, and more. One death linked to the disease was also reported, and the death toll stood at 536. Reflecting on the situation, the prefecture would request the national government to re-issue the state of emergency today (August 5.)  Source: NHK / Yomiuri / RKB
