A launch ceremony was held in Fukuoka Prefecture for the new “Western Air Defense Group,” which will primarily handle missile defense in the Kyushu, Chugoku, and Shikoku regions. Vehicles equipped with upgraded PAC-3 missiles, which have significantly longer ranges, were unveiled during the event.
