New Miyazaki-Seoul Flights to Open

South Korean airline Eastar Jet will open a new route between Miyazaki and Seoul from December. Asiana Airlines already operates flights between the two cities, but this will be the first low-cost carrier flying between the two destinations. There will be flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from December 1 to March 24. The Miyazaki-bound flight will depart from Incheon Airport (Seoul) at 9:35 AM, while the flight heading in the opposite direction will leave Miyazaki Airport at midday. A one-way trip will cost approximately ¥6,000~¥7,000. Asiana currently runs three flights a week on their Miyazaki-Seoul route, but a rise in the number of Korean golf tourists visiting Japan made the airline decide to increase the flights to five for a similar period to Eastar Jet’s new service (December 2 to March 24).
