Resource recycling company Nippon Magnetic Dressing Co. announced they will launch a business in Kitakyushu for recovering rare earth metals and precious metals from discarded electronic devices and substrates. They plan to invest about 210 million yen to expand their current plant in the city and start operations in May 2012. It will be the first primarily private-sector business of this type in Japan.
