Sanwa Shurui Co., Ltd., an Oita-based producer of popular shochu ‘iichiko,’ will open a tourist brewery in May 2022. Construction of the 700-square-meter facility has begun on a spacious ground in the Karashima area of Usa City. Amongst the four buildings, ‘Kome no Kura‘ warehouse will offer sake brewing workshops, while ‘Mugi no Kura’ produces the brand’s first craft beer. Source: Asahi / Nikkei
