Nishi Kyushu Shinkansen Receives Final Operation Approval

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism today issued a letter of approval to JR Kyushu for the West Kyushu Shinkansen line connecting Saga and Nagasaki prefectures, which will open on the 23rd of this month, after confirming the safety of the railroad facilities. The West Kyushu Shinkansen is part of the Kyushu Shinkansen Western Kyushu route connecting Hakata Station and Nagasaki Station, and will open this month on the 23rd, connecting Takeo Onsen Station in Saga Prefecture and Nagasaki Station in Nagasaki Prefecture.
