The Nishi-Nippon City Bank unveiled its new three-year business plan to take effect this year, called New Stage 2011. One part of the plan calls for a greater-than-10% cut in both the number of branches and employees in five years. They also will reduce by one-third the current 21 directors. The objective of the downsizing is to strengthen the company’s financial base with financial conditions still unsettled.
