Defined as bonds issued by organizations including corporations and local governments to raise funds for Green Projects by the Ministry of Environment, Green Bonds have been issued by an increasing number of domestic organizations. As one of the earliest local banks to deal with such bonds, Nishinippon City Bank will underwrite approximately ¥200 million bonds, which will be issued by a solar power company on Feb. 25.
