Nishitetsu announced on Feb. 27 the opening of four new routes for its expressway bus service to improve the accessibility to and from Fukuoka Airport. Coinciding with the privatization of the airport on April 1, the company will adjust and open bus routes to offer improved transportation options for international tourists. The destinations include the areas of Aso (Kumamoto), Shimonoseki (Kitakyushu), Yanagawa (Fukuoka) and Takachiho (Miyazaki). Buses to Aso and Yanagawa will be in service from Mar. 23, followed by the rest that will be in operation from Apr. 1. The company is planning to add eight more routes to connect the airport and tourist spots in the Kyushu-Chugoku area. Source: Nishitetsu, 2/27/2019
