Amid rising cases of illicit filming, Nishitetsu Fukuoka Station in Tenjin has installed special “anti-voyeur mirrors” on its up escalators. The wide-angle mirrors, measuring about 50 cm by 30 cm, allow passengers to check behind them and aim to deter offenders. Donated by a local community group, the mirrors are expected to encourage vigilance and prevent crimes. Police report 110 voyeurism-related arrests in Fukuoka Prefecture from January to June, 10 more than the same period last year. Source: NHK
