Nishi-Nippon Railroad Co., Ltd. (Nishitetsu) began a LINE-based service that allows customers to purchase train passes without lining up at counters. Users who friend with Nishitesu’s official accounts (‘⻄鉄電車’ or ‘⻄鉄バス’) can tap “wait for my turn with LINE” to receive a message when the counter is open for them. The system also offers discount coupons that can be used at nearby cafes and shops. Nishitetsu and LINE recently reached a comprehensive agreement to develop more digital services for Nisitetsu’s transportation and commercial facilities. Source: NHK / Nishitetsu
