Nishitetsu Plans 22,000 Homes in Vietnam

Nishi-Nippon Railroad (Nishitetsu) plans to develop 22,000 housing units in Vietnam from 2026 to 2035, targeting middle- and low-income buyers. The company acquired a 49% stake in Nam Long ADC, a subsidiary of a major local developer, and will send executives to join management. The partners have already worked together near Ho Chi Minh City and will expand to areas around Hanoi and Da Nang. Planned prices are about 1.2 billion dong for apartments and 2.5 billion dong for houses. Nishitetsu aims to strengthen its overseas real estate business amid population growth in Southeast Asia and a shrinking domestic market, while continuing projects in the Philippines, Indonesia, and India.
