Nishitetsu Temporarily Discontinues Five Express Bus Routes

Nishitetsu announced the temporary closure of five expressway bus routes in response to the Government’s declaration of a state of emergency. While the company has already downscaled its expressway bus operations due to reduced ridership, further cancelations for an extended period were announced. The following routes will be discontinued: Fukuoka – Saga Airport (~4/30), Shimonoseki – Kitakyushu Airport (~5/6), Fukuoka – Aso Line (~7/17), Fukuoka – Nobeoka/Miyazaki (night operation) Line (~5/2), Fukuoka – Tosu Premium Outlet Line (reopening date yet to be decided), Fukuoka/Kitakyushu – Tokyo Line (~5/6), Fukuoka/Kitakyushu – urashiki/Okayama Line (~5/6), Fukuoka/Kitakyushu – Shimabara Line (~5/6), Kurume – Yamaga Line (4/16 ~ reopening date yet to be decided), Kitakyushu – Beppu/Oita Line (4/18~5/6).
