Nishitetsu Tests Allowing Bicycles On Trains

From October 23, Nishi-Nippon Railroad will carry out a “cycle train” trial allowing bicycles to be brought into the train cars of the limited express train of the Tenjin Omuta Line on weekends. There is no need to fold the bicycle and put it in a special bag. The trial will run until December 12. The train company will supply belts to attach bicycles to the railing inside the train on ten limited express trains, each departing from Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station and Omuta Station during the daytime (10 am to 4 pm) on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. You can get off at ten stations. Although it has been possible to carry a bicycle in a special bag and bring it as baggage, this method should be even more convenient. Source: Nikkei
