Nishitetsu to Expand BRT Service

Nishi-Nippon Railroad Co., Ltd. will expand their BRT bus services from July 20, reflecting increasing passenger demand. The company has been operating bi-articulated buses in a circular route of the urban area of the city since August 2016 in collaboration with Fukuoka City. To provide smoother transportation and reduce the number of privately operated cars, the company will increase the number of runs from the current 62 to 94 per day (15 min each.) Also, the bus will begin operation between the areas of Island City and Tenjin/Hakata for morning and evening rush hours. Source: Nishitetsu, 7/5/2019
