The Fukuoka City-based Nishi-Nihon Railroad Co. (Nishitetsu) revealed it planned to operate a hotel in Kagoshima City near the JR Kagoshima Chuo Station. The hotel will be located in a building to be constructed by a local trading company, and plans call for it to open in March 2012. Nishitetsu’s objective is to capture the large demand they anticipate from business travelers and tourists after the Kyushu Shinkansen opens in 2011.
