Nissan Kyushu to Limit Production Cutbacks


Nissan Kyushu that it would reduce the planned production cutbacks at its plant in Kanda-machi, Fukuoka Prefecture, because it had completed its inventory drawdown. The plant was idled for 21 days in February, when it produced slightly more than 10,000 units. There will only be five idle days at the plant in March, however, and plans call for the production of 13,000 units. Additionally, the company plans to boost production in April to slightly less than 17,000 units, about 1.5 times the February total.
