Kanagawa Prefecture-based Nissan Shatai continues shifting production to its Kyushu subsidiary in Fukuoka Prefecture. The company began production of the new NV350 Caravan here in June, and over the course of the year, the region’s share of their overall production will rise from 40% to 60%. That means production here will exceed that of the company’s primary plant in Kanagawa. Last year, Kyushu accounted for 72,000 of the roughly 195,000 unites the company produced.
