Nissan Motor Co. will undergo drastic restructuring, including a cut of 450 employees in the Kyushu area. The CEO of the company, Hiroto Saikawa, explained at a press conference on July 25 that between April to June, the company had lost 98.5% of gross profit compared to the same period a year before, making it the worst period ever. The company is planning to reduce the number of employees by 12,500 and contracts for 450 workers in Fukuoka and 430 in Tochigi will not be renewed.
