On May 15, no new cases of COVID-19 infection were found in Fukuoka Prefecture for the second consecutive day. The cumulative total remains at 657. Parks, museums, and more facilities in Fukuoka Prefecture announced their reopening dates in response to the recent lifting of closure requests for local businesses. Here is a partial list of the reopening facilities for the next ten days:

Nishi Park (Maizuru Koen) – 5/18*
Ohori Park (Japanese garden) – 5/19*
Najima Sports Park (baseball field and tennis courts) – 5/18
Kasuga Park (baseball field, tennis courts etc.) – 5/18**
Chuo Park (Kitakyushu) (baseball field and park equipment) – 5/18
Chikuho Ryokuchi (baseball field, tennis courts) – 5/18
Chikugo Koiki Park (tennis courts, gymnasium etc.) – 5/18**
*Park equipment can be used as soon as local schools restart classes
**Park equipment can be used from 5/25
Pool facilities for Chikuho Ryokuchi and Chikugo Koiki Park will reopen on 5/21 and 5/19 respectively. Training gyms inside those facilities are closed.
