No New Yatai Stalls for Nagahama Area

According to an announcement by Fukuoka City, the area designated for yatai (street food stalls) in the Nagahama area will not have any new operators from August this year. The city had selected ten new yatai operators who were expected to open shops in designated plots from August. However, two of them resigned, and new operators were sought for plots in the areas of Nagahama and Nakasu. While another applicant on the waiting list has filled the plot in Nakasu, no one applied for the plot in Nagahama. Source: Mainichi Shimbun, 7/11/2019
