JR Central and JR West have announced that all seats on the Nozomi trains on the Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen lines will be reserved during peak periods in fiscal year 2025.
The 12-day Golden Week period from April 25 to May 6, the 10-day Obon period from August 8 to 17, and the year-end holidays from December 26 to January 4, 2026, will see fully reserved services to reduce platform congestion and enhance safety.
