Nurse Posts Patient Records, Hospital Apologizes

A hospital in Fukuoka City apologized after a nurse in her 20s photographed a patient’s medical records and posted them on social media earlier in March. According to Sada Hospital in Chuo Ward, the nurse shared details including patient interactions and prescribed medications. The post was discovered by staff on March 22 after it spread online. Although the account was limited to approved viewers and the content was set to disappear within 24 hours, the hospital determined the act violated internal rules and professional standards. The nurse reportedly admitted posting the content without sufficient consideration. The hospital apologized to the patient’s family and is considering disciplinary action while working to prevent a recurrence. Source: NHK News / TNC News
