The National Tax Agency released its survey of property values for the downtown area of Fukuoka City, which found that property prices near the JR Hakata Station continue to rise, while those in the Tenjin district are flat, with signs that the decline might have stopped. The survey also shows an upturn in office demand after a period of stagnation, with companies opening new offices and large call centers. The demand for offices seems to have resulted in part by companies in the Kanto region looking to relocate as a way to avoid disaster risk.
