Oita Daiichi Hoverdrive Co. announced it will launch a new sightseeing hovercraft service from Oita Airport on May 2, operating once weekly on Saturdays. The 30-minute round-trip cruise will depart at 1:15 p.m., expanding services previously limited to the city-side terminal. The company is targeting inbound travelers, encouraging passengers to use the service during waiting times before departure. It plans to collaborate with airlines including Taiwan-based low-cost carrier Tigerair Taiwan, which operates direct flights to Oita. Due to a system transition, tickets in May will be sold onsite only, with promotional fares set at ¥2,000 for adults and ¥1,000 for children. Source: Nikkei / OBS News
