Oita Hofu High School canceled a school trip to Guam, which was scheduled for October, following North Korea’s recent missile launch. The school canceled their travel plans before waiting to find out if the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would issue warnings over travel to the U.S. territory. Around 280 students were set to join the excursion, but it decided against making the trip to ensure the safety of the children. A domestic location will be selected as an alternative.
