Oita Prefectural Governor, Hirose Katsusada, announced on February 23 that they will host an International Hot Springs Conference. The conference will be held from May 25 ~ 27 in 2018 and will take place at B-Con Plaza, Beppu’s International Convention Center. Around 20 cities with hot springs will be invited including Beppu’s sister city Rototua in New Zealand, Chiangmai in Thailand, and Budapest in Hungary. Source: Oita Press, 2/24
