Online Seven-Night Shochu Event

A Tokyo-based trading company is collaborating with seven shochu distillers in Kyushu in a Zoom-based charity event. Named ‘Thousand Nights and Seven Nights – Shochu Caravan Night,’ the seven-night long event offers in-depth talks about the world of shochu. Presentations by representatives of Shouro Shuzou, Kodama Distillery (Miyazaki,) Higashi Shuzo, Kokubu Shuzo, Tomita Shuzojo (Kagoshima,) Toyonaga Shuzo (Kumamoto) and Ebisu Distillery (Fukuoka) will participate in such online event. Virtual-distillery tours are scheduled for some nights. The free event encourages participants to make donations to support medical workers at the Japanese Red Cross Society and the National Center for Global Health and Medicine.
