Itoshima City announced an outline for the development of its new city hall. The new building will be built on the site of the current Maruta Park (south-east to the current City Hall) in 2024. Five concepts for the new office include the development of a place that boosts social interactions amongst citizens. An indoor multi-use hall (1st floor) and an outdoor ‘Itoshima Deck’ will be suitable for various events. At the same time, a promenade on the west of the building will provide better accessibility between the town area and the Marutaike Park. The city is accepting feedback from individuals and groups who live, work or study in Itoshima City until July 15. Sources: Itoshima City / Itoshima City
