Fukuoka City announced its annual count of growing-industry companies that established offices in Fukuoka City topped 50 for the eighth straight year. The city has set yearly goals of attracting fifty or more companies engaging in IT business, medical business, and more in the past years. Twelve overseas companies and thirty-eight domestic businesses opened their Fukuoka offices during the fiscal year of 2020 and proved the negligible impact of the new coronavirus pandemic.
