Tokyo-based department store chain Parco announced that it will open a new annex on the site of the old Iwataya Annex located adjacent to its Tenjin store next Fall. The new building will have a total floor area of 14,000 m2 with three stories below ground and six stories above ground. Parco has not determined the sales space area in the new building, but it is certain to dramatically add to the 12,000 m2 of sales space in the existing Tenjin store. Parco acquired the old Iwataya Annex from the Tsuzuki Academy in March.
