Peach Aviation announced yesterday that they have exceeded two million total passengers one month ahead of schedule. The LCC airline launched last March, and reached the first milestone of one million passengers was within nine months. From there, it only took five months for the airline to double that figure, reaching two million passengers on May 7. Peach currently flies six domestic routes and three international routes with eight airplanes, but plans to increase to ten airplanes with a goal to fly four million passengers a year. The airline will launch a new Osaka Kansai~Shin-Ishigaki route in June, followed by Okinawa Naha~Shin-Ishigaki, and Kansai~Busan routes in September. Source: Nishinippon Shimbun, May 7 2013
