Redevelopment along Meiji-Dori as 30 buildings that date to the mid 1950s will be knocked down. Under the Tenjin Big Bang project, the Fukuoka Jisho announced plans to start building the multi-story Tenjin Business Center in early 2018, with completion planned for 2020. The new building will be built on the space of five existing buildings on land that measures approximately 4,000 square meters. The Business Center will be 16 stories high and the total floor space will be 60,000 square meters. Demolition begins in summer 2017. Source: JC Net, 11/1
