Police, immigration officials and firefighters inspected vehicle-dismantling yards in the Kasuya Police Station area on Oct. 22. The operation covered about 20 yards, with around 50 officials attending a departure ceremony. At one yard in Koga, roughly 20 inspectors checked fire precautions and the working conditions of foreign employees. Police said such inspections address risks including the handling of stolen property and unauthorized employment of foreign nationals. They plan to continue the checks to prevent crime and maintain safety. Source: NHK News / KBC News
