Two nearly forgotten crafts of Fukuoka, Aashiya-gama, and Kokura-ori were designated prefectural tokusan-hinn specialty crafts. The origin of the Onga-produced tea ceremony pot and the Kitakyushu woven textiles go back centuries, while both died out in the years of Edo and Showa.
