A 59-year-old associate professor at Seinan Gakuin University, Shinno Hiraki, was arrested in Fukuoka City’s Sawara Ward on the morning of April 2 for allegedly hitting a 17-year-old male high school student with a bag. The incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. on a street in Nishijin when the professor reportedly swung his bag into the student while passing. The student was unharmed. A patrolling officer witnessed the act and arrested Hiraki on the spot. The suspect denied the allegation, claiming the student collided with him.
