Nishi-Nippon Railroad Co., Ltd. (Nishitetsu) announced a revised sales forecast for the 2021 Apr. ~ Sep. term. With a considerable improvement from the original deficit forecast of minus ¥1.6 billion, the company now estimates a net profit of ¥1 million for the six-month term. While the prolonged impact of COVID-19 state of emergencies hit Nishitetsu’s transportation business harder than expected, growth in their international logistics and housing business firmly pushed up the overall sales.
