The Kyushu Economic Research Center released its projections for real economic growth in Kyushu and Okinawa and 2010, which call for positive growth of 1.3%. This would be the first year of positive growth in the region in three years. The primary factors behind this growth include an economic recovery in China and other newly developing nations, greater auto and semiconductor production, and a recovery in exports.
