An increasing number of public wireless LANs are being built in Kyushu, the Nishinippon Shimbun reports. In addition to LANs in shopping districts in Kitakyushu and Nagasaki Prefecture, another network became operational in the underground mall of the Tenjin shopping district. The objective is to provide new services and attract new customers, particularly the younger demographic, but observers caution it might not result in increased sales.
