The Fukuoka branch of credit rating firm Tokyo Shoko Research released figures ranking the companies in Kyushu and Okinawa Prefecture with sales of at least 10 billion yen on a non-consolidated basis. Their survey reveals there are now 678 such companies in the region, the second consecutive record high. The aggregate revenue of these companies totaled 25.9877 trillion yen, 2.5% higher than the year before and the fifth consecutive annual increase.
