The draft budget of Fukuoka Prefecture for the fiscal 2020 totals over ¥185 trillion, making it the largest on record. With the scheduled introduction of accommodation tax in April, the annual budget for Fukuoka Prefecture increased by ¥65.9 billion from that of 2019. The budget includes costs for promoting international tourism, including a reduced rate for car rentals as well as special discounts for air tickets for direct flights from Europe, the US, and Australia are planned.
