The Kyushu Transport Bureau revealed the results for sales and turnout at the six boat racing sites in Kyushu and Shimonoseki in Yamaguchi Prefecture for FY 2011. The number of visitors rose 22.9% from the previous year to 34.61 million, a record high. Revenue rose for the first time in three years to 210 billion yen. The increase was attributed to the 103 aggregate operating days for the six sites and Internet access.
