A Fukuoka-based company known for producing and selling pet supplements, known as “Baumkuchen,” has been instructed by the Consumer Affairs Agency to disclose its violation of regulations related to advertising. The company had been misrepresenting the benefits of one of its products, “Eyes One”, on its website, suggesting that it could cure cataracts in dogs. However, following an investigation by the Agency and the Fair Trade Commission, no evidence was provided to substantiate these claims. In response to the order, Baumkuchen pledged to take it seriously, vowing to strengthen both their internal compliance awareness and their advertisement review processes to prevent future violations.
