Plans for the renewal of the Aeon Shoppers Fukuoka in Tenjin was announced on Mar. 25. Aeon Kyushu is renovating part of the large shopping complex, which opened as Daiei Shoppers Plaza in 1971. With a concept of creating a space to meet the needs of time, new shops will be added including one selling freshly squeezed fruits and frozen yogurt, a Tsutaya bookstore with a cafe and a co-working space, coin lockers and more. Other shops will open on Apr. 25. The renewed areas from B1 to 4th floor will be called “Tenjin Shoppers Fukuoka.” A further renovation involving the 5th to 8th floors will continue into autumn 2019 and will feature office spaces.
