Fukuoka Prefecture will lift closure requests for local businesses, including night clubs, cabarets, karaoke parlors, and sports clubs at midnight on June 1, except in Kitakyushu City. Requests for self-restraints on outings will also be lifted on the same day in most parts of the prefecture. In the meantime, the prefectural governor asked all residents to stay cautious when visiting Kitakyushu City, as the city currently experiences a surge in the number of the new coronavirus patients. The prefecture also announced the gradual resumption of events under some conditions. Between June 1 ~ 18, indoor events for 100 participants or less may be held as well as outdoor events for 200 participants or less. Firework events and other outdoor festivals may be held from August 1. Sources: NHK / Nikkei Photo: For image purpose only By chuttersnap
