JR Kyushu announced on July 29 that its new express ferry Queen Beetle would begin operations on July 15, 2020. With an expanded capacity of 2.6 times compared to current Beetle (hydrofoil) ships, the new cruiser will also run between Hakata and Busan. The ship’s smoother ride will allow passengers to enjoy shopping and moving around without fastening seat belts during the voyage. While the basic ticket price will remain the same as Beetle, the newly introduced upper-class seats will cost an additional ¥5,000. Source: JR Kyushu Jet Ferry
