The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications’ statistics office announced details about the relocation of people in Japan during 2017 based on figures from the basic resident registry. A total of 2,248 people moved out of Kitakyushu City last year. This means that the municipality recorded the highest figure in the country for the fourth consecutive year. Nagasaki City was third with 1,888 residents relocating, and Naha City was fourth with 1,537.
