On Dec. 20, Hakata Bus Terminal unveiled revamped expressway bus arrival and departure platforms, the first major overhaul in 15 years. Using green as the thematic color, the updated 2nd and 3rd-floor platforms now exude an air of luxury, with leather-like pillars, granite-like wall tiles and new seats. The bathrooms were renovated to add a nursing and changing room and a multipurpose toilet, and all signage was redesigned to be easier to read and include English, Korean and Chinese alongside the Japanese. Nishitetsu spent ¥500 million on the renovations, which were timed to coincide with the Hakata Terminal’s 50th anniversary. Source: Nishitetsu Press Release, 12/18
