The Fukuoka branch of Tokyo Shokoh Research released their rankings for companies with sales of at least 10 billion yen on a non-consolidated basis in Kyushu and Okinawa Prefecture for FY 2011. There were 599 companies included in this category last year, 13 more than the previous year. That was the first increase in four years. TSR said this was due to the brisk business in the auto and housing markets as a result of government policies.
